Expect to be wowed this summer with the ripest produce, handiest creations and coolest cars during the Walkin’ on Wednesdays (WOW) events in downtown Amherst. 
In its seventh year, WOW takes place on the second Wednesday of June, July, August and September from 4 p.m. to dusk on the grounds of Town Hall. 
Teresa Gilles, executive director of Main Street Amherst, says adding a car show and  lineup of farmers market and artistic vendors who sell either homegrown, homemade or handmade items is all  part of an effort to attract more people to the city’s downtown corridor to eat, drink, shop and play.
